Fall Term Admissions

Students who wish to begin their studies in the fall are required to complete the application process by April 1. Decision notifications will be sent out on a rolling basis by mid-May.

Spring Term Admissions

Students who wish to begin their studies in the spring are required to complete the application process by November 1. Decision notifications will be sent out on a rolling basis by the end of November.

Application

All applicants must submit the following:

Mid-Term Report (Please submit electronically or email to [email protected])
Official Transcript(s) from every college/university attended
Final High School/GED Transcript
Transfer College Report (This form, stating an applicant is in good academic standing, must be submitted from your current institution. If you are not currently enrolled, the report should come from your most recent school attended)
Academic Report (academic letter of recommendation)
Required Essay: As part of your application, you must submit an essay that focuses on your specific interest in Trinity College. Using the prompt below, write an essay of less than 300 words.
- The Trinity College community is characterized by engagement, inclusion, and collaborative partnerships. What was the community like at your previous institution? How will you engage with and leave an impact on the Trinity College community?

Applicants must submit results from either the Duolingo English Test, IELTS, or TOEFL. Click here to learn more about our English exam requirement or to see if you qualify for an English proficiency waiver.

If you are applying for need-based financial aid, we require the CSS Profile. If you do not intend to apply for need-based financial aid, please complete our Statement of Finances Form (SoFF).

Applicants who have completed college coursework at an institution not accredited in the United States must submit a course-by-course credential evaluation from World Education Services (WES). Please ensure you request your reports be sent to Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

Optional

While not required for admission, interviews are strongly recommended. Interviews are a great opportunity for us to get to know you better, and, more importantly, for you to learn more about Trinity. Learn more about how and when to schedule an admissions interview.

No applicant shall be considered who is not in good standing at their college.

Standardized Testing Requirements

SAT or ACT scores are not required of transfer applicants.

Trinity Score Choice Policy

If you decide to send SAT or ACT scores, Trinity’s Admissions Office will consider an applicant’s highest section scores from all testing dates as part of our final admissions decision. (This policy includes both the SAT and ACT.) If and when an applicant submits new scores, we will update their record with those scores.

It is the applicant’s responsibility to have test scores sent to the Admissions Office only if you decide to send SAT or ACT scores. Trinity’s CEEB code is 3899; our ACT code is 0598.
