Why did you choose Trinity?
It’s always been a difficult question to answer provided how much Trinity has impacted my life. Coming from a faraway land, I had never dreamed of leaving my home in a small village. However, attending Trinity for education allows me to see my home from a distance and a bigger picture for the first time. It is a test towards the strength of my independence, which later I realized is Trinity’s vision for the members and students—the Bantams. How do we see ourselves as leaders of tomorrow? The answer continues to unravel while I am traveling to other countries through Trinity’s program. Trinity is where impossibility is challenged.

Favorite Professors:
As a Theater and Dance major, every class I took in the department is my favorite. Professors Peter Kyle, Rebecca Pappas, and Theresa Incampo are incredible artists/performers and intellectuals whom I deeply admire. Professor Kathrine Bergren and Professor Zayde Antrim are people who made impacts in my life in the world literature and humanity at Trinity.

Favorite Co-Curricular Activity:
Interning at the DEI office was an eye-opening experience, where I worked alongside other students and members who helped to strengthen my understanding of Trinity as a community. Performing for the concerts at Austin Art Center is also a thrilling time on campus when dance and music lighten the college’s spirit!

What do you love most about Trinity?
The Study Away Programs makes me falling in love with Trinity. Treating the world as the classroom natures my independence as a lifelong learner and a leader of tomorrow. So far, I’ve been to a performing arts program in New York City (Trinity LaMaMa) and college in Cape Town, South Africa.

What are your goals after you graduate from Trinity?
With the field study of Theater and Dance, I aim to pursue a Master’s Degree in Performing Arts. I’ve seen how much art brings joy and heals the people around me, even the people who have no connection to art. I want to make art accessible to everyone.

Favorite place on campus and/or in Hartford:
In Hartford, it has to be Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art. It is the oldest public art museum in the US! On campus, it is the library. You can always find me there!

What’s one thing you wish you knew before coming to college?
Coming to college is both an exciting and nervous experience. Sometimes, feeling nervous gets the better of us because having intimidating expectations. One thing I wish I knew before coming to college is to put down expectations and be open to world you will step in on campus!
