Majors:
French and Music

Why did you choose Trinity?
Trinity stood out to me because it offers the chance to study Music and French, which can be combined through opportunities such as study abroad, performance, and numerous courses and research. Putting together my two areas of study has truly allowed me to grow, as one informs the other. The city of Hartford also stood out to me as it offers work opportunities that align with my music studies, and numerous cultural engagement events and traditions.

Favorite Class/Professor:
My favorite class was Creative Writing in French my Junior year which allowed me to read a broad collection of French literature and compose a final creative project in the language. I have always wanted to fully immerse myself in French, and being able to create a story that reflected myself and the literature I read was an amazing project.

Favorite Co-Curricular Activity:
The Chapel Singers is my favorite activity on campus. We are a group of about 25 singers from all backgrounds and majors, and we make music every week on campus. I have met my closest friends through this group, and every year we look forward to the same concerts and traditions.

What do you love most about Trinity?
I love the community at Trinity because no matter where I am, I always see a familiar or friendly face, and I never feel alone. I also value the close relationships that I have forged with my professors, who have become more like mentors and colleagues to me. Thanks to them, I have been able to challenge myself and step out of my comfort zone, while still knowing I am supported.

What are your goals after you graduate from Trinity?
My goal is to continue my music and Francophone studies in tandem with each other, and pursue a performance career that focuses on French Organ repertoire.

Favorite place on campus and/or in Hartford:
My favorite place in Hartford is Elizabeth Park, which is a beautiful space to walk, run, have a picnic, or enjoy the Rose Garden.
