Greek Life

Greek life, a tradition spanning over 165 years at Trinity, has grown to include about a dozen organizations, over 400 student members, and numerous proud alumni. The groups enrich a diverse campus culture, with about 20 percent of students involved, fostering a sense of brotherhood, sisterhood, and mutual interests.

Ella Pepper ’21, former president of the Ivy Society at Trinity, said she valued the read-aloud initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic because supporting the local community is important to the members of the sorority. “As a group, we know how difficult the schools in Hartford shutting down must be on the community, and especially on the parents of the students. We wanted to give back to the schools in any way we could and felt that the read-aloud initiative was a meaningful way to do so,” Pepper said.

In 2021, Vernon Social was transformed into the Cornelia Parsons ’80 Center—or the Cornelia Center for short. The building is now home to the Career and Life Design Center and a hub of student-centered activity.
