Our favorite neighborhood options: 

Parkville Market – an ultimate food hall with over 22 restaurant vendors to try from!

Aurora’s Restaurant – a Guatemalan bakery and restaurant on Capitol Avenue!

Aqui Me Quedo – a Puerto Rican restaurant on the corner of Broad Street and Park Street.

El Sarape – An authentic Mexican taco place right down the street from campus!

El Mercado – Not only is this place a market but also hosts 4 Latin and Caribbean restaurants inside it!

Mexican American Diner – Don’t have to think much about what this place is. It’s right in the name! Another plus, it’s just a 5-minute walk from campus!

Our favorite downtown options: 

Salute – a fantastic Italian restaurant in the heart of Hartford.

Black Eyed Sally’s – Black-Eyed Sally’s is a Southern Kitchen & Bar housed in a 100-year-old building in downtown Hartford, CT.

City Kebab House – a Turkish and Uzbek restaurant that fulfills your Middle Eastern cravings.

The Place To Be – is a millennial food concept founded in 2015. This is the go-to place for brunch. It has fun and comfort foods and is a great place to enjoy with friends.

Cafes/Coffee Shops

Our favorite coffee shops:

Story and Soil – you can find this small but amazing coffee shop on Capital Avenue, take a stroll through Broad Street and check it out!

Semilla Cafe + Studio – a “neighborhood living room” that has authentic coffee and sources community brands and restaurants in its cafe/studio.

DoNo – This new coffee shop is cozy, located right next to Dunkin Park, where the Yard Goats play. Every season and month they come out with creative new drinks to try.

Bloom Bake Shop – Alumni-owned, it’s a flower shop, cafe, and bakery in one! It is located on Pratt Street.
