Study Away
Immersion in different societies and cultures is integral to studying human rights. Studying abroad will expose you to a diversity of experiences and perspectives, broaden your comparative context, and perhaps even challenge your basic presuppositions. The Human Rights Program strongly encourages its students to study abroad at one of the sites approved by Trinity. A few of Trinity’s own global sites offer a rich array of human rights courses (click on the links below to be taken to that program’s web page):
Trinity in Cape Town
Trinity in Vienna
School for International Training (SIT)
Trinity also offers a Human Rights study away program through the School for International Training (SIT): Human Rights: Movements, Power & Resistance. SIT is a leader in immersive, field-based study abroad programs for undergraduates. You can review all of Trinity’s multi-country programs here.
Global Hartford
Global Hartford explores Hartford from the perspective of its immigrants and refugees, who have historically made the city “global”. This site highlights events, programs, and issues that engage immigrant and refugee residents, as well as Trinity student and faculty research and volunteer projects, across the greater Hartford area.
