After the Withdrawal: The Taliban, Human Rights, and Future for Afghan Refugees: Join us for a conversation on the quickly developing situation in Afghanistan in the wake of the America’s withdrawal, from the ascendency of the Taliban to the rise of ISIS-K. We will cover the impact of these changes on human (and especially women’s) rights, and the emergence of a full-blown refugee crisis. The panelist for this discussion are: Mareike Koertner, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies, Ben Carbonetti, Director of the Human Rights Program and Lecturer in Human Rights, Chris George, Executive Director, Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services, and Mark Silk, Director, Leonard Greenberg Center for the Study of Religion in Public Life and Professor of Religion in Public Life.
