Citing & Managing/Organizing Sources (30-60 min.)
An introduction to plagiarism and best practices for avoiding it, with special emphasis on citing sources correctly using the course-preferred citation style (i.e. APA, Chicago, MLA, etc.). May also include a Zotero workshop upon request.
Comprehending, Integrating, and Synthesizing Sources (10-40 min.)
Students will examine a deeper understanding of the sources they discover for their research through notetaking, summarizing content and source analysis. They will see connections between their sources and how each may be used in a synthesized research project.

Students will learn strategies and techniques for searching the internet more efficiently and how to evaluate sources and information found online.

Student Wellness (45 min.)
Students will be introduced to wellness resources and learn stress management and time management techniques. Guided by librarians, they will develop skills to practice wellness and recognize when to seek help, effectively balancing their academic and personal lives.

Using AI for Research (15-60 min.)
Students will be introduced to select AI tools that can be used at different stages of research including brainstorming topic ideas, developing keywords, searching for sources, etc. Ethical implications on using AI will also be addressed including best practices for when and how to use AI tools appropriately.
