Accessing Tamba (and Other) File Servers

Tamba is available for faculty and staff for departmental file sharing. You may use these instructions for accessing other servers by replacing the word “tamba” below with the server name you wish to connect (zep/docex, tcdata, tbos).

Note: If you are attempting to connect to Tamba or these other servers from off-campus, you will need to make a VPN connection first.

Windows

  1. From the Desktop, click on the Search icon on the bottom left.
  2. In the Search box, type \\tamba.cmpcntr.tc.trincoll.edu
  3. Double click on the folder you would like to access. When prompted, enter your credentials:
  • User name: cmpcntr\username
  • Password: your Trinity password

Mac OS

  1. From the Finder, select the Go menu at the top of the screen.
  2. Select Connect to Server…
  3. In the Server Address field, type smb://tamba.cmpcntr.tc.trincoll.edu/foldername
  4. Enter your credentials:
  • User name: cmpcntr\username
  • Password: your Trinity password

The volume will appear on the Mac desktop.
