When a racially-charged incident divides her first-year students, reluctant resident advisor Shelby finds herself in the middle of a conversation she does not want to have. As pressure to address the controversy mounts, Shelby must decide if she will enter the fray or watch her community come apart at the seams.

Written by Kristen Greenidge, Baltimore is a timely drama about racism on college campuses and the responses that such incidents generate among students, administrators, and even, best friends.

Directed by Godfrey Simmons, visiting lecturer in theater and dance, with assistance from Sydney Yu ’25, Goodwin Theater, the production will be performed at the Goodwin Theater in the Austin Arts Center.

Four shows are slated Thursday through Saturday, November 21-23. There will be a performance each evening at 7:30 p.m., and a matinee November 23 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are free although reservations are required.
