For the first time in nearly 30 years, Trinity College men’s basketball will head to the NCAA Division III Final Four, which will be held Thursday and Saturday in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Bantams, 30-1 and ranked No. 3 in the nation, defeated Calvin University 69-62 on Saturday night at Trinity’s Oosting Gym to clinch a spot in the Final Four. They face Trine University of Angola, Indiana, on Thursday, March 14, for the chance to play for the national championship.
This caps a record-setting year for the Bantams that marks the team’s first 30-win season in program history. Trine University is now at 27 wins and 4 losses. The winner of that match will face the winner of the game between Hampden-Sydney College and Guilford College in the championship game on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET.
