In Spring Performance Mix, the Department of Theater and Dance at Trinity College is taking a new approach to its annual showcase of student choreography by mixing in original spoken-word pieces by students.
The program of five solo pieces was selected by a panel of students, faculty, and staff and highlights a wide array of approaches to creating live performance from experiments with dance as a visual art, dance inspired by a piece of music, the art of monologue, improvised interactive design, and classical Odissi dance, an ancient dance form from India.
Participating student artists include Vicente Gil ’27, Jade Mellitz ’26, Radhika Ramdas ’28, Orfeas Spyraki ’28, and Sydney Young ’26, with stage management by Kathleen Kelly ’26.
The performances will be held Thursday, March 6, and Friday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, March 8, at 2:00 p.m. at the Performance Lab in Trinity Commons. Tickets are free, but reservations are required.
