Bright skies and colorful autumn foliage welcomed alumni and families to campus for Fall Weekend 2024, which combined all the traditions of Homecoming and the celebrations of Family Weekend.
During October, the Bantams welcomed visitors to a full slate of competitions on the field and on the court. Trinity volleyball beat Norwich University, 3–0, on October 26.
The football team won its game against Bowdoin College, 34–14, during Family Weekend.

Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS appeared in the western sky just after dusk in mid-october. The comet remained visible in the sky for about a week while on its 80,000 year journey around the sun.

A production of “Jimmy and Lorraine” premiered at Austin Arts Center’s Goodwin Theater on October 10. The play explored writing, criticism, homosexuality, and institutional racism through the lens of the deep friendship between James Baldwin and Lorraine Hansberry.
New Haven based artist Faustin Adeniran, who has multiple pieces in the "Detritus" exhibition at Widener Gallery, leads a workshop with students assembling art from what would otherwise be garbage. The workshop was hosted by Green Campus on Thursday, Oct 17.
Alumna Kaja LeWinn ’98, who has dedicated her work to studying the neurodevelopment and mental health of the youngest members of society, received the Trinity College President’s Award for Science and Innovation on October 30.
The film crew for a feature-length Tollywood production spent several days at Trinity capturing footage of iconic campus locations and using student volunteers for several scenes.
Visitors to the library this month were greeted by a costumed creature.
An extremely rare display of aurora borealis appeared over the normally light polluted skies of Trinity’s campus on October 10. A solar storm spurred by multiple coronal mass ejections from the sun brought red, green, and purple lights to the capital city.
