About us: About two dozen Trinity students who love to sing challenging choral music. The only requirement for membership is some previous experience reading sheet music. Our members hold a variety of religious and spiritual beliefs, and all are welcome.

Commitment: We sing at Chapel services (most Sundays during the semester, 3:00–5:00 p.m.), Choral Evensong (during our Wednesday rehearsal time) and perform concerts and make recordings. We also sing at the popular Christmas Festival of Lessons and Carols, and at several major college events. Our weekly rehearsals are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30–6:00 p.m. We are paid student-employees and membership is a significant responsibility. This campus job is eligible for the work-study program. It may also fulfill a Wellness Requirement.

About auditioning: We encourage you to arrive warmed-up and ready to sing. Our director will lead you through singing some scales, then will ask you to sightread a few bars of music. (It’s everyone’s least favorite part, just try your best!) Lastly, a few of us will teach you a short piece.

Any questions: Please reach out to our president, James Maciel ’25 or our director, Christopher Houlihan ’09.

Information for high school students:

High school singers interested in choral music opportunities at Trinity College are encouraged to contact Christopher Houlihan (Director of Chapel Music) for more information. If you’re visiting campus, please arrange a time to say hello!
