Taste of Ramadan – Panel Presentation and Dinner
📅 Saturday, March 8, 2025
📍 Washington Room, Trinity College, Hartford
Muslim Life at Trinity was honored to co-host the Taste of Ramadan program in collaboration with The Muslim Coalition of Connecticut (MCCT). This special event was designed for our neighbors from different faith and cultural backgrounds to learn more about the significance of Ramadan.
The evening featured an engaging panel presentation with four of our MSA members as speakers, who shared their personal reflections on Ramadan and its traditions. The Q&A session provided an open space for meaningful dialogue, allowing guests to ask questions and gain deeper insights into the spiritual and communal aspects of this sacred month.
Following the discussion, attendees experienced the warm hospitality of Ramadan through a complimentary dinner, fostering a spirit of unity and mutual understanding.
The event was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share, and celebrate the values of community, reflection, and gratitude that Ramadan embodies.

Community Iftar Dinner – March 3, 2025
📅 Monday, March 3, 2025
📍 Washington Room, Trinity College, Hartford
On Monday, March 3, 2025—just three days into Ramadan—the Muslim Life Program and the Muslim Students Association (MSA) hosted a Community Iftar Dinner, offering the community a chance to gather and break their fast.
We initially expected around 200 guests, but we were delighted to welcome over 240 attendees, including Trinity students, faculty, and staff, as well as representatives and friends from the local community.
The evening was filled with warmth, reflection, and celebration. From the opening recitation and student reflections to a fun-filled Kahoot competition, each moment highlighted the spirit of Ramadan—a time of spiritual reflection, gratitude, and community.
The event not only offered an opportunity for our Muslim students to experience Ramadan’s beauty while away from home but also created a welcoming space for guests of all faiths to learn about and share in the traditions of this holy month.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this evening so special. Events like these remind us of the power of gathering, learning from one another, and fostering understanding across communities.
We look forward to more opportunities to celebrate, reflect, and connect together.
With heartfelt thanks,
