Evensong periodically throughout the academic year. Evensong is a centuries-old service of sung prayer that marks the end of day and the arrival of evening through beautiful music, silence, candlelight, and incense. The Chapel Singers offer music from the English choral tradition, perfectly suited to the setting of the Chapel. A brief spoken reflection is offered by a member of the Trinity community, and a meal follows this approximately 45-minute service. All are invited for a moment of restful contemplation at the close of day.

Forthcoming
Roman Catholic Mass – Information can be found on the Roman Catholic Student Life page of our website.
The annual Christmas Festival of Lessons and Carols marks the beginning of the holiday season for the Greater Hartford community. All are invited to take comfort and joy in this service.
Student events that take place at the Chapel include Chapel Formal, an event to raise funds to support an organization that provides meals for schoolchildren in Hartford facing food insecurity; Worship Night, an evening of singing, prayer, and community led by the Trinity College Gospel Choir, Faith Inspired Students at Trinity, and Faith Circle; Cranksgiving, a bike race in November during which contestants collect food for Grace Episcopal Food Pantry leading up to the holiday season; and special events such as community gatherings. The Chapel is also a preferred performance space of Trinity’s student a capella groups due to its magnificent acoustics.
In addition to Chapel services and events, College ceremonies are also hosted here each year including the First-Year Candle Lighting ceremony, Matriculation, Honors Day, Baccalaureate, and parts of Reunion.
