Religious Life Wellness Credit
Trinity College’s Wellness Credit program allows students to develop good habits through participation in various programs sponsored by offices and departments across campus, including the Office of Spiritual and Religious Life. The programs within the Office of Spiritual and Religious Life that qualify include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Chapel Services (Sundays, 4 PM)
- Roman Catholic Mass (Sundays, 6 PM)
- Chapel Singers participation
- Trinity College Gospel Choir participation
- Bible Study (sponsored by Faith Inspired student group)
- Jumu’ah Prayers (Fridays, 1 PM)
- Shabbat Dinners (Fridays, 6 PM)
- Trinity Zen Practice (Fridays, 1 PM)
The wellness course number is WELL-190-01 “Spiritual and Religious Life Participation.” You do not have to formally “enroll” to receive the credit for participation. Interested students must submit an acknowledgment of regular attendance from the staff member or staff/faculty advisor overseeing the experience, along with a 500-word reflection on how participation has aided their emotional, moral/ethical, and spiritual development this semester, to the College Chaplain and Dean of Spiritual and Religious Life. This is due at midnight on the final day of classes each semester. For the Spring 2025 semester, the final day is April 30.
Regular attendance equates to 8 contact hours, regardless of individual program duration. For example, an hour-long program requires a student to attend 8 times, while a 30-minute program 16 times. This includes practices, performances, services, liturgies, etc., but not planning meetings.
