92NY Residence is located on the Upper East Side, just blocks from Central Park, Museum Mile, and only a short subway ride to the East Village, where the Trinity/La MaMa office and studio are located. 92NY is one of New York’s most famous cultural institutions and community centers with a 145 year history of bringing people together and providing exceptional, groundbreaking programs in the arts, literature, and adult and children’s education.

Students stay in single rooms with shared bathrooms and communal kitchens on each floor. 92NY offers free access to the newly renovated, state of the art health center, featuring a 75-foot swimming pool, modern cardiovascular conditioning equipment, cyber and free weights, steam room, and sauna.

Meals

There is no meal plan and students are responsible for their own food. 92NY has communal kitchens on each floor where students can cook. The office is equipped with a large refrigerator and microwave, so students can bring their lunch. We will share a list of grocery stores and affordable food options on the Upper East Side as well as in the East Village.

Campus

The Trinity/La MaMa office and studio are located at the La MaMa Galleria building at 47 Great Jones Street in the East Village, just a block away from La MaMa Experimental Theater.

47 Great Jones Street, where our classes, workshops and rehearsals take place, has 6 floors of rehearsal studios and is home to companies such as Elevator Repair Service, Culture Hub and Ping Chong and Company. Our office is a welcoming space to rest and hang out between classes and is equipped with student computers, a large refrigerator and microwave, and a coffee maker.
